This is the first new edition for eight years of the standard work on Football League players from 1888 to 1939. Some 30 additional pages of information now include many of the non-League clubs played for before a man made his Football League debut. A team of correspondents have helped the author to correct and enhance the previously published data.
The
book lists some 16,000 players. Details
include full name, date of birth when known, place of birth, year of death,
position played and international caps won.
Then, for each club he played for, the seasons he played and his total
appearances and goals.
